An extended heartfelt appreciation to our partners, panelists, and attendees who contributed to the success of this “Let’s Talk Menopause” forum. This conversation is not over, so let’s continue to support one another in embracing this stage of life with confidence and knowledge.

On March 18th, 2026, we celebrate the incredible women who continue to shape Belize’s future. Under this year’s theme, “Balance the Scales,” we recognize the importance of advancing equality, opportunity, and justice for women and girls across every sector of society.
It was H.E. Rossana Briceño distinct honor to present awards to two outstanding Belizean women whose contributions have made a lasting impact on our communities.
Dr. Angela M. Joseph, awarded in the category of Education and Training of Women, has dedicated decades to education, leadership, and philanthropy. Through her work supporting Belizean students and expanding access to learning opportunities, she continues to empower generations through knowledge and opportunity.
Mrs. Karla Cano Turton, recognized for her work in Women and the Economy, has built a successful baking enterprise while also mentoring and teaching women practical skills that promote entrepreneurship, financial independence, and confidence.
Their journeys remind us that when women are supported and empowered, entire communities thrive. Together, we continue working toward a future where opportunity, leadership, and success are truly within reach for every woman and girl in Belize.
