The Official Signing Ceremony for the "Engaging Men & Boys to Advance Gender Equality and Help Prevent Gender-Based Violence" Project.

On August 23rd, 2024, The Office of the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children hosted the Official Signing Ceremony for the "Engaging Men & Boys to Advance Gender Equality and Help Prevent Gender-Based Violence" Project.

The event was held in the presence of Her Excellency Rossana Briceno, Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children; Her Excellency Ambassador Amalia Mai, CEO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade; Her Excellency Ambassador Lily-Wen Hsu, Ambassador of Taiwan to Belize; Mr. Roberto Pan, Chief of the Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize; and Ms. Jill Cai, Project Manager of the Women's Empowerment Project at the Taiwan Technical Mission.

H.E. Rossana Briceno, H.E. Ambassador Amalia Mai, and Mr. Roberto Pan signed the grant agreement for general obligations between the three respective entities. The signing of this financial agreement serves as a critical step forward in our collective mission to foster gender equality and prevent gender-based violence in Belize.

The Office of the Special Envoy extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Embassy of Taiwan for their invaluable support and to the Private Taiwanese donor for their significant contribution to advancing gender equality and ending gender-based violence in Belize.

Through this impactful collaboration, we will make a profound difference in the lives of many, while striving to build a future where equality and respect are the foundation of our society.
