The inaugural Let’s Talk Menopause Forum was held today. The event featured a panel of five specialists, including a gynecologist, nutritionist, psychologist, the Director of MOHW, and special guest H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam, Governor General of Belize.

They engaged men and women of all ages in discussions on menopause, its symptoms, management strategies, and ways to offer support. The forum concluded with a Q&A session, giving the audience an opportunity to ask panelists personal questions about menopause.

This initiative, made possible through collaboration of the Office of the Special Envoy, the Ministry of Health & Wellness (MOHW), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, empowers women and promotes a more inclusive and supportive work environment. With women making up nearly 50% of Belize’s workforce, raising awareness and educating the public on this topic is crucial.
