Good Deeds Day 2024

Belize got ready to celebrate Good Deeds Day on April 14th, 2024.

For the first time, Belize had participated in this Global movement of doing good along with 115 other countries across the world.

The Office of the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children, in collaboration with The Ixchel Caribe Foundation, https://www.theixchelcaribefoundation.org/, were the key partners in bringing this movement to Belize.

This culminate in a Good Deeds Day Caribbean Regional Conference on September 16th in St. Lucia, bringing together Caribbean partners to exchange ideas and best practices, and collaborate towards promoting a spirit of volunteerism across the Caribbean.

All organizations, groups, institutions, and individuals were encouraged to get involved in #DoingGood on #GoodDeedsDay so that we can all help to foster a ripple effect of good across every corner of Belize.

All across Belize, various organizations and groups have been engaging in #DoingGood in honor of #GoodDeedsDay.

From cleanup campaigns to planting trees to visiting the sick and elderly, we are truly inspired by the momentous acts of service displayed.

Thank you to all those who collaborated with us and were committed to fostering a spirit of volunteerism.

Likewise, thank you to everyone who participated in doing good and who in their own way continue to promote and do good each day.

It is our hope that from today and onwards, we will all be encouraged to do good for the betterment of our country, community, and world.
