Expanding the Reach of Our Indigenous Women
H.E. Rossana Briceño was honored and happy to attend and share her remarks for the closing ceremony/graduation for the "Expanding the Reach of Our Indigenous Women" Project.
This project was the result of a collaborative effort between the Office of the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children; the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan); Taiwan Technical Mission; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration; the Ministry of Human Development, Families, and Indigenous People’s Affairs; and the Sarstoon Temash Institute for Indigenous Management (SATIIM).
The event saw the graduation of 20 Indigenous women from both Santa Cruz Village and Punta Gorda Town who received Technical and Vocational Skills Training in various topics aimed at unlocking their skillset and economic potential.
In her remarks, she emphasized that when women are given the right tools and resources, they become catalysts for positive transformation that contribute to their empowerment, as well as the upliftment of their families and communities.
Therefore, with initiatives such as this, we are not only ensuring the promotion of equal opportunities for our Indigenous women but are also working towards a more just and prosperous nation for all.
