Caribbean Leaders Conference

Good Deeds Day

Bringing together leaders from around the Caribbean to network, learn, share ideas, strategize on growth and build partnerships.

During August 25th - 29th, 2025 Belize had the pleasure of hosting the Good Deeds Day Caribbean Leadership Conference 2025 through collaboration between the Office of the Special Envoy, The Ixchel Caribe Foundation, and ISG Cares.

Good Deeds Day is a global movement that takes place every year in April and brings together millions of people and organizations from 115 countries to engage in acts of community service and kindness. This year marked Belize's second time participating and our first time hosting this leadership conference.

The week started with a welcome dinner where we warmly welcomed regional leaders from across the Caribbean. This led up to the conference that served as a space to network, share best practices, explore areas for collaboration, and inspire volunteerism across the Caribbean. During the conference, the participants had an opportunity to learn the importance of linking their Good Deeds Day activities with the SDGs, develop strategies to promote and encourage youth engagement, and learn ways of utilizing AI to develop actionable solutions.

This week also included a culture night and a day trip which fostered cultural exchange among the conference participants and a chance for our regional visitors to experience some of what Belize has to offer.

Thank you to all those who partnered with us in making this year's conference a success. Thank you to the Office of the Prime Minister, the Belize City Council, the Ministry of Tourism, Youth, Sports, and Diaspora Relations, the Ministry of Human Development, Family Support, and Gender Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Culture & Immigration, the National Institute for Culture and Heritage (NICH), the Good Deeds Day Organization, and all those who participated in doing good for Good Deeds Day.
