Opening Ceremony for the Launch of Collaborative Baking and Entrepreneurship Training for 20 Belizean ParticipantsFor Immediate ReleaseOn May 29th, 2025, the Office of the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Taiwan ICDF, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Culture, and Immigration, officially launched the Unlock Your Baking Potential training program.

This six-week initiative, facilitated by Mrs. Ila Reid of Ila’s Pastry House, will provide 20 women and men from Belize City with hands-on training in traditional Belizean pastry-making and essential entrepreneurship skills.

The Office of the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children expresses sincere gratitude to the Government and People of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for generously funding this important initiative.

Today’s opening ceremony marked the beginning of a transformative journey toward economic empowerment, cultural preservation, and community development. We look forward to the successful completion of this impactful program and are excited to see the creativity, skills, and culinary excellence that the participants will bring to life.
